The Need Is Critical. The Time Is Now. Courage Takes Root
A project that began inception in 2018, the Marjaree Mason Center announced a capital campaign, Courage Takes Root, in conjunction with a two-week Community Challenge November 1-15, 2023, aimed at building a new Community Resource Center that meets the ongoing, critical need for services and the vision of a domestic violence-free community.

The Cycle of Violence
The cycle of violence is a repeating pattern often seen in abusive relationships. It involves three different stages that continuously repeat until the victim is able to leave the relationship. What often makes the situation even worse is that as the cycle continues the violence often escalates and worsens.
How to Support the Moms of MMC this Mother's Day
The average family in crisis is a mother with two children who stay at the Marjaree Mason Center for 34 days. At any given time, 60% of those staying in our safe house are children. At MMC, we devote a lot of our time to helping and healing families.

What Everyone Needs to Know About Domestic Violence
Why does discussing domestic violence matter? 1 in 4 women will be affected by domestic violence in her lifetime. Over 7,000 domestic violence cases were reported locally last year. Typically DV is reported after the 8th incident.
