Adopt-A-Room
We’ve dusted off the Adopt-A-Room campaign and completed our first transformation – Room 26, thanks to Janell and Marvin Boldt.
Marjaree Mason Center's Adopt-A-Room program transforms our current rooms into safe places where victims will find comfort. Our donors are able to clearly see the impact of their goodwill as they receive pictures of their adopted rooms before, during, and after the refurbishing process. When renovations are complete, plaques are placed above the doors of adopted rooms, naming them in honor of their adopters.
The 22,000-square-foot Fresno Safe House has 44 adoptable rooms, and the cost of adopting ranges from $4,000 to $7,500, depending on the room's size and amount of repairs needed. Renovations include new paint, flooring, windows and window covers, beds and other furniture. Donors also have the option of teaming up to adopt a room, covering the cost of just one of the renovations.
In addition to bedrooms, donors can choose to adopt other rooms in the safe houses, such as the intake rooms, front offices, case manager offices, counselor's offices, or even the linen closets.
